Outcomes

"What does success look like?" This is the key question Community Impact asked at the outset and revisits when beginning work in each new cohort of neighborhoods.  Building on lessons learned, Community Impact's model is designed to effect neighborhood-level change.  The following outcomes serve as measures of success.

  • Physical Revitalization: Participating neighborhoods are more competitive with other healthy neighborhoods in that they attract the resources of existing residents, new homebuyers, developers and other investors.
  • Neighborhood Safety: Residents of participating neighborhoods feel safe and can effectively work with police and other partners to address safety issues.
  • Social Revitalization: Residents of participating neighborhoods are involved in activities that strengthen the social fabric of the neighborhood.
  • Community Empowerment: Residents of participating neighborhoods have the capacity to effectively manage issues that threaten the health of the neighborhood and to influence the future of their communities.
